the general information
- We are all awesome! This means no discrimination of race, gender, color or religion. Be awesome.
- Don't spam or flame. This means no double posting, unless you have a good reason, such as you post an unfinished post and you are posting to say you are done. Otherwise use the modify button. And DON'T POST IN ALL CAPS BECAUSE YOU ARE ANGRY RAGE MONSTER. It looks ugly, is rude and is just plain immature. Show your maturity and act like civilized human beings.
- One account per member. NOT one account per character. This is a simple rule to follow.
- 200 word minimum. It is not hard to reach this, and we encourage you to post more! At least try to post somewhat close to the person who posted before you, as that is respectful. If you are having trouble reaching this minimum, PM a staff member for help. We are happy to oblige.
- Swearing is only tolerated IN character. Not OOC swearing, because that is rude.
- All images must be no wider than 550 px and no taller than 350 px.
the character information
- Check taken names before you post your character so we have no name double ups. Simple stuff people.
- There is no character limit, however please keep every character you make active. If this means you only make 2 characters, only make two characters, and make them ACTIVE.
- Try and keep guys and girls even. Also try to keep race numbers even. Check the CIR for character counts.
- Fill out the form completely otherwise you will be declined. Post WIP or Not Done somewhere in an unfinished bio so that it is not deleted by staff. When accessing the creation boards use the word blacklands.
- When naming elves, try to be creative. An elf named Steve will NOT be accepted. There are plenty of elf name generators out there. Check the tips and hints section for links to some of the best.
- Characters may have up to 3 animal companions. It is suggested that one of these is a horse, as your character needs to get around. Check tips and hints for more companion ideas.
- Once your character has been accepted, you must post in the CIR threads (taken names, character count).
- Everyone needs to have a tracker thread. These may have as much, or as little information as you wish. However, the bare minimum for your tracker thread is to list your characters and list their skills. Each character may have its own post within your tracker.
